Skoda auto head unit, can i get aux?

Featured Replies

I have a 2004 54 reg 1.9 tdi 105bhp mk2 octavia if that makes a diffrence

It has the standard head unit in which says skodaauto on the top and also has a cd changer setting but changer is bust -.-

Is there anyway i can get a aux connection onto this and not spend £30 on the ebay thingy as i have searched other topics but non relate to my head unit as there all on about the stream and stream mp3

Any links to items/ parts would be appriciated and just incase i do have a soldering iron in reach :) thanks

Which headunit, unless its a Stream with MP3 written on it there is no Aux in.

You could just replace the changer, they are not that expensive secondhand.

If you have the Audience headunit, then unless its one of the last then it has no Aux in at all as the changer is builtin.

I have the none mp3 stream, with 6CD changer in the boot.

I bought a connects 2 (i think it's called) lead that plugs in the back, in the CD changer port and gives you an aux input.

Works absolutely perfectly, sound quality is excellent

Not sure about the one you put the number up of, it looks like it should work

This eBay num 181484631565 is exactly the same as the one I've got.

(I have no affiliation with this seller or auction, was just 1st one that came up on search)

Just wondering the link i put up, if i connect that up, how does it work, do i just click cd so it goes onto the cdc setting and play from my phone as this does mot have a aux in setting

That's how mine works.

You press the 'CD' button as if to select changer, but instead it just plays from whatever you have plugged into the aux socket.

I use mine to connect to my iPad, for streaming movies etc while I'm at work in between jobs

I think the one i put it should work then just need to get a t25 bit to make sure its the same connection

T25? What for?

The screws holding the headunit in are T20.

If you're removing the fascia trim, the easiest way to do it is to open the ashtray, slide your hand under the fascia (fingers up) until you feel the edge of the fascia and pull, firmly but gently and it should just pop off.
