Octavia 2 MK2 (2010.09)passenger side window problem

Featured Replies

Hy, my Skoda octavia(mk2 from 2010.09) is acting weird. There is a problem with the front passenger side window. I can pull it up, but it stops at the first third and stops their until i release the button and push it again. If i want to pull it up with the automatic function its coming up to the first third and then back down and it stops their. What do you think the problem is? Thanks in advance, Paul

You could try re-setting the one touch close feature.

Close the window fully by holding the button up, on drivers control panel.

Then when it's fully closed keep the button held for 5 seconds, this will reset the one touch close.

Also if it's going exactly the same distance up each time before it stops and comes down on its own, there could be something in the window rubbers. Might be worth just checking they are clear from dirt etc on both sides

Yes the problem is the window module.

Had the same issue. Need to get the exactly same part number

Hey, thanks for your advice i tried resetting and since then its working fine. I hope it keeps on working, and I don't have to change the window module.

Hey, i hope JohnSTV6's answer solved my problem fornot only a short time, and i dont have to change the window modul as you mentioned. What did yours do when you had this problem? Best regards, Paul

No bother mate, had the same thing happen from time to time on mine.

No idea why/what causes it, but a reset seems to sort it out

I got one from scrapyard for 50€

i have the same problem
is there some kind of manual to open the door panel and clean the motor and add some wd40?

i wanna try this before buying a new module

@eslam

If you want to remove the inner door trim to access the window motor etc be prepared to drill out and replace rivets... not the most serviceable item.
