I have got some part worn tyres for free, but rather than swapping my tyres i wondered if mk3 GTI wheels fit [assuming they are 16's].

This is for a track day purpose. Anyone any other idea's - maybe steelies ?

Should've thought so. AFAIK, as long as they are VAG 5-studders, you'll be able to fit anything within reason...

I think mkIII GTI wheels are 4 stud, with the VR6 wheels being 5x100 (so would fit).

Could be wrong though....

I know I had Golf GTI 15s on my furby when I first got it - but that could have been mk4? Well, after consulting rochford tyres, it says "Mk3 5 stud 5 x 100"

Same stud pattern , but offset is different, mine was on 16's with a 42mm offset, I think the Furby is 38mm.
