Cherished Registrations & Updating VMS

I had cause to contact Skoda UK to get to the bottom of the update process for my Fabia  Monte Carlo Tech and was advised about something else as well that I thought was worth sharing with you.

I like many others on here have replaced my original registration with a cherished registration and used that on my query to Skoda however as VMS does not reflect this registration that identified my car by other means, however I was advised to get my local dealer to update my registration details on VMS as this is what would be used to contact owners if a recall was being instigated, it is also used by the Skoda Breakdown Agent as well which apparently changed recently to the AA. 

So a word of warning, make sure that the details on VMS match your actual details.
