Hi all im an owner of a Fabia 1.4 8v mpi.

Im just looking for info and advice on a few things.

Right an answer for your questions.

1. Hammerite is fine for you brakes, they do a smooth green if you like, but I would stick to black for drums.

2. Green filters are an aftermarket replacement and not Skoda supplied.

3. A good 10w40 oil will be fine, Quantum semi synthetic is good, availalbe from Skoda. Failing that Castrol Magnatec.

4. There is a collar behind the window winder handle, slide that out and pop the handle off and see whats u with it.

Dont think ive ever seen a MPI Fabia with traction control, how rare.

Cheers for the info on the oil,and the air filter ill just buy one from halfords when it needs doing.Yeah the ASR traction control was an extra the previous owner asked for,the button is beside my rear window heater button and I can turn it off and on.I live in scotland so it might help in the snow. :P
