Had the Service department ring me this afternoon from David Ian at Morecambe.She asked me if I was bringing it across for it,s 2nd (2year) service, which I declined due to time constraints.One thing that I was not aware of when she was quoting what they do for the service was that they change the DSG gearbox oil.I looked at the service book and there is a square for it to be done, but there is one on the 1st service ( not ticked). So can someone point me in the right direction as to whether it should be done on this service? I just want to be certain that when I take it to the VAG Dealer on Island that it is done.

DSG gearbox oil change is normally at 40K intervals, or at least has been on my previous Skoda DSGs. 

 

Slightly annoying last time as my car went in for a 2nd service under the service plan at 38K and then back in 2k later for the DSG oil change, with no consideration as to how inconvenient it was for me.

As above. It's every 40k miles with no time limit.

 

Should cost about £169 at a main dealer.
