A new family member!

Well, only four more sleeps to go before I can pick up SWMBO's latest car. This is car number 6 after -

Rover Metro 1.1 - she never drove it except in my parents' back garden

Fiat Cinquecento Sporting - she never drove it, but I did make a profit on it after doing it up

Fiat Seicento Sporting - she bought it brand new, and never drove it once. Sold it to buy me a car though - isn't she lovely?

Fiat Bravo 1.2 SX - she drove it a few times before she passed her test. Then sold it just before she took the test.

Nissan Almera 1.4 Si - Her everday car after passing her test.

Now bear in mind that she's only had a full licence since March this year - and what's she gone and bought?

Weirdly enough, cheaper to insure than the Almera. Can't wait to get my hands on it now, it's like a proper old-school sports car. No PAS, no ABS, no electric windows, no airbags. Just a good old-fashioned engine, gearbox, propshaft, diff, driven rear wheels layout.

Modding will start on its arrival - chrome roll hoops, S2000 aerial, chrome grille, new DAB stereo just to start with. Some more bits to come though!

I've always liked the MX5, my GF doesn't though so we have a Clio for her daily driver instead. She does like the BMW Z4 though which is the same sort of thing but a LOT pricier!

Did you pop into Derek Slacks whilst you were there, have a look for a nice Fab vRS for the lady? :)
