Can't enter my radio code

Featured Replies

Recently after water ingress problem another problem i have is the radio.  I disconnected the battery when I was the water in the bulk head, drained the water out and reconnected battery.  Radio then asked me for code,  which I duely entered and the radio worked again.

Now after a week at mr garage man I see the radio is in SAFE mode again so I go to enter my code .... doh,   The cursor is stuck at 1 and no button on the radio appears to do anything.  The power on/off is the only thing that works.

Any idea what might be wrong?  As I said.  I have the code but I just cant enter it :(

I think you (or garage) have entered it wrong too many times.  There is a lockout of a few hours I believe, then you get the chance to enter it again.

Hi Jimmyf, did you resolve your problem? I had some work done on my car yesterday and now my radio is in the same state as yours, stuck on 1..

It means someone has had a go at entering the code and got it wrong too many times.  Assuming you have the right code you just need to wait a few hours for the error to clear and then you'll be able to enter the code.

It appears you need to wait the few hours with the radio on and keys in the ignition...
