Been to autobrite today and made a few purchases.

The guys in there were really helpful and it was great to be around so many detailing products I didn't know what to do!

Only bought a few QD's and a couple of bottles of FAB (1 for samuir) and a sample pot of Hellshine The abyss jelly wax. (I've had to put it in the fridge it just melts when left out)

Really looking forward to testing out the new QD's

Oh and I got a few stainless steel spray bottles for decanting. And a decanting tool to make life easier.

Dunno what's going on with me and qds of late. I think it's a case of I get the car just right and then keep up to it and don't let it down again.

Seems to be easier than doing the whole routine over and over again.

Thought I'd just get the test pot as £60 seemed a lot for a jelly wax.

I had the Spray version of Abyss, used it on the Fabia with Eliminator as Prep and then topped it with Rapid Revenge Detailer between washes.  I found it to be an excellent sealant and would pair with BSD just as well.

 

No experience of the Paste/Jelly.

or are you perhaps confusing the Spray version of Abyss which is a standalone full LSP just like the paste wax? This isn't a QD.  I think I paid £20 for mine in the sale and it would have lasted me probably 4-5 years or so if I used it exclusively on my car.

I was just thinking as this is what AD call it -

The SPRAY ABYSS is a sprayable synthetic paint sealant

Which is basically what bsd is, so I was thinking £35 each I would go with the 5ltr bsd.
