Which in car DAB ?

Featured Replies

Looking for cheap, in car dab to pair with my 2nd hand very cheap Pioneer double din which sadly has a FM fault so though DAB would be a nice way to get radio if I wanted it.

Can't quite make my mind up on these two fairy cheap directions that would add DAB.

Choice #1

Acoustic Solutions DAB-ICS100 add-on DAB car radio

(Benefits the cheapest of the two). Drawbacks, I'd be looking put

Choice #2

CK-O DAB2011 version 1.0

(Benefits: A/V display, just a hideaway unit, comes with remote control).

Drawback about twice as expensive...maybe <£80 once I sort an aerial? Also can only do 60 channels

(possibly less if I do the pikey DAB aerial which is reported to work very well and certainly better than internal aerials)

Neither do DAB+

There are other options like AutoDAB Go / AV models (Go will support Bluetooth for A2dp streaming however I don't technically really need that as the Pioneer has USB and card support plus Bluetooth for calls which works REALLY well. Plus mapping i.e. really no need for phone audio except for calls?
