Rear brake/tail light bulb very hot

Featured Replies

hi all, had a new bulb about 2 weeks ago and today got an intermittent bulb fault on the mxidot for the same bulb

checked it with pedal on and damn it was HOT is this normal or a faulty bulb?

And are there LED canbus friendly bulbs that works as a 'twin filament' out there?

cheers

Incandescent bulbs get hot with use, I have seen some folks fit a twin filament bulb incorrectly so the brighter brake 21W filament was always on instead of the tail 5W, so naturally things got quite hot.
