Quick help please. Rear caliper being changed. Are the washers serviceable on the banjo bolt? Can I fit copper ones? The outer one is being a pig to get off but if it can be done, I'll persevere.

if they are crushable alloy I wouldn't reuse them, copper (I'm sure) would be OK if the total thickness(2 x washer + banjo) is not greatly dissimilar to original    and if not chewed up, copper can be annealed and reused (heat to dark cherry red and drop in cold water

Cheers CC. Problem was the unions were weeping and picked up on MOT. Original washers are as you describe so it seems the rear pipes and flexi's are gonna need replacing
