FL rear lights on a pre FL?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a small stone chip/crack on my rear passenger side light, no hole and it takes ages to spot, but I know its there. I need a new lens, but I was wondering if the FL rear light covers fit on the pre FL?

And does anyone know where you can get non originals?

Thanks,

Phil

Not sure if you might fail MOT if you fitted the FL clusters to a pre FL? - aren't the reflctors on the bumper post FL? (Or do I have that ass-backwards?)

I'm in the van at the mo so can't easily check unless I see an octy.

No no, mine is a VRS pre FL. SO I do have reflectors in the bumper

yep prefl Scout and VRS both have the reflectors in the bumper anyway.

So will the lights fit straight away without changing the bulb holder?

Great time to shop

Eurocarparts are cheaper than dealers. Dealers are 55 a side. Wait till ecp have a sale . If not you can use UKPA25 for 25 % online

Don't buy aftermarket / patent clusters, they fade and discolour, or at least there have been reports of it happening on non-genuine rear light clusters.

Here are the pre and post FL rear lights, as confirmed they are a straight swap.

You don't say if you have the estate or hatch, when shopping around make sure you get ones for your body shape as there are differences between the hatch and estate rear clusters.
