Do a fair bit of miles a year so didn't want the petrol plus iv herd the TDI feels better low down in the revs, got a motorbike for my top speed stuff

Welcome to the forum. It's an underated mile muncher too with all that torque and will give decent mpg if you don't hoon it everywhere -mid 50s is easily achievable if you're smooth and stick-ish to the speed limits
