One of the number plate bulbs has gone on the rear of the vrs, to replace is it simply a case of removing from the outside or must it be done by removing an internal bootlid panel?

Removal from the outside mate.

There 2 types of bulb holder in the mk2 fabia.

1) Is there a torx screw visible? If there is, undo that and it will pop out.

2) If theres no screws of torx visible from the outside of the bulb holder, youve got the new type. You need to gently prise it between the bulb holder and the paint, and itll just pop out. Its not nice, i i know. I cringed abit whilst doing mine.

I used an old bank card with abit of tissue paper wrapped around it to avoid scratching the paint
