Looking around for a new (used car) and spotted a rather nice '13 plate example listed with 'Williams Paint Protection'.

No further details on exactly which one, but I'd guess applied from new.

Looked at the Williams' website and it sounds impressive.

But is it in reality?

How do you look after it?

Anyone any experiences with it?

It's the same product as GEN-3 glasscoat coating http://www.gen-3glasscoat.com/, couple of detailers over at DW have used it a lot.  It's supposed to have a 5 year warranty when applied by an authorised dealer.

Its very good...better than all the others offered at Dealerships TBH

Its applied as with other 'Ceramic' type sealants..to a freshly polished and totally degreased paintwork

Unfortunately its often applied badly or wrongly at Dealerships

Does it just need washing and topping up with a QD? Or is there a specific wash / seal routine needed?

It should have the wash maintenance kit that comes supplied after it's been applied, if not you can pick them up on ebay.

Was hoping to have got rid of the Octavia for a Yeti earlier this week - but dealer wouldn't budge on p/x value and I had to leave it. Pity.

I'm on my third yeti now.

Both myself and my wife drive one and we haven't had a single problem.

Its supposed to protect from bird droppings but after cleaning off bird droppings with the cloth and cleaner provided I noticed marks on the bonnet. This was less than a month from buying new from Skoda.
