eBay Global Shipping Programme

Featured Replies

Any eBay sellers either been invited or are already using the Global Shipping Programme in the UK?

I don't think I would accept anyway unless there were serious bargains to be had

Think it's design is more geared towards volume sellers (??)

Project I'm working on has some indirect links to it - was curious to gauge thoughts from sellers on the process.

Then that rules me out :D  I am a "here and there" seller :D

They just seemed to bolt-it on in my case; i had to then go in and opt-out!

Very annoying!

Did you keep any correspondence by chance? In particular where you send your parcels for EU or Non EU processing?

I got an email about the other day but I've only sold a handful of things on eBay. There wasn't much detail in the message though.

Deleted most of the emails, but then I have restrictions in place anyway as to what countries I will ship to.

Many business buyers prefer to use Bongo or Shipito. Lots of Chinese sellers use GSP (or a third party equivalent) so they can say they are shipping from the UK. As an example, search for 'Infrared Thermonometer', filter by 'UK' and sort by lowest price first. You'll be surprised how many sellers are based in Portsmouth :)
