Winter detail bits arrive, Farecla G3 Detox help...

Featured Replies

Goodies arrived in the post in prep or a mega clean and winter protection session.

But Farecla G3 Bodywork Detox says 'squirt a liberal quantity into a bucket'

I cannot cope with that I need guidance! How big is my bucket, how big is a squirt (ooo errr).

Just use the same amount that you'd use for normal shampoo.

That Gummi Pflege is fab stuff, by the way.

Cheers Mike. Was potentially gonna squirt 1/4 of the bottle! What a waste!

First time with Gummi but picked that up from the forum.

As above give it some.... think you're a kid squirting strawberry sauce on a big whippy and a dollop of apc in there helps too, though I find that even after iron x, tardis and a clay you still have to use a paint prep like their paint restorer to get the surface really clean....or perhaps its that pesky sonax BSD I've been using LOL

Can you use diluted ipa for this?

Can you use diluted ipa for this?

I wouldn't...... I can't remember where I've seen it-could have been on here or detailing world but some of the detailing afficionadoes were saying IPA can soften the paint so I'm staying away from it just in case they are correct. I've seen mentioned on this forum that 50:50 is too strong if that's any help, though I've no evidence either way. I'll keep mine for cleaning the glass prior to treating that

Guys

When you use G3 Detox, I find its more effective if you squirt a little directly onto your wash pad/mitt

That way, you use plenty but not so much that you throw it way with the bucket water

Use it with the Clay Mitt too for lubrication

Cheers for comments and advice.

Will be doing the mega clean some time this month ready for winter. Pics and what I do will be posted here.

I'm no expert but cleaning the car is one of the most relaxing 'hobbies' I have found!

Why dont you pop up here Kevin and we can both do it?

Cheers Chris.

I want to do this by myself. I like to spend the day in 'solitary' and just chill with my own thoughts.

'All my own work' once its done too.

You're on the top of my list when it comes to proper correction and advice.

Sure you understand.

Of course I understand

No problem ...Let us know how you get on

Certainly will.

Probably towards end of the month, time off work and weather dependent!

Ha! I remember getting confused last time, now I'm not so sure......... I lose concentration after 2 minutes so I'm relatively safe and shouldn't fall asleep with a microfibre cloth in hand, but thanks for the link which might come in useful at 2am!

I was going to use a 10/1 mix of ipa. The paint will be fine then.
