Columbus sat nav

Featured Replies

Good afternoon, I am in the process of getting a 2011 octavia vrs. The cars has the Columbus sat nav fitted. Can anyone tell me a bit more detail as there seems to be different versions.

Does this one have a hdd, can I stream from phone or Bluetooth device, is it phone compatible.

Thanks in advance for replies

The all have a HD inside (although really new DAB units may have a SSD inside).

Streaming BT depends upon the BT module fitted (if at all) and your phone protocol. The BT module is usually located under the driver's seat (if factory fitted).

Ha hahahahaha sorry I'm new to this. I spoke to the garage and they're not sure if it has it. The car has upgraded leather, xenons, sat nav I'd imagine the Bluetooth should be there.

As it's a Vrs, it probably already has it.

Look under the driver's seat for a black plastic module. Possibly under a carpet or plastic cover.

Hi, receiving my vRS TSI DSG in Metal Grey this week - very excited I am too!

Just reading some more stuff and came across the Columbus map updates section on the Skoda websie - quick question, does it really take up to 8 hours to perform the update?!  Doesn't the battery run flat way before that?!

Thanks,

If the map updates are on the Skoda website then it'll be referring to the MIB Columbus in the Mk3 Octavia.

Updating the maps takes about 55 minutes in the Mk2 Octavia Columbus. No idea where the 8 hours comes from!

What dealer are you buying the car from as I recently traded my 2011 vrs with columbus,Bluetooth, leather and xenons
