Pics as requested. There's some info on the lead if you search for Columbus or FM splitter.

It allows the single FM radio cable on pre-FL Octavias (and probably other cars) to connect to FL stereos such as Bolero or Columbus that have a double aerial connector.

It fools the stereo into thinking two separate aerials are connected, removed the 'open circuit' fault on one of the antenna and, some say, improves radio reception over have the single aerial connected to just one of the white sockets on the double connector on the back if the headunit.

Hope that makes it clear enough.
