Has anyone removed door cards from a mk1 octy before?

I've got to the stage of removing the inner door handle trims and they won't bloody come off!

It's started to chew the trim a little bit,but it won't budge ;-(

Any suggestions?

They're all coming off mate ;-)

They're solid,I've tried a screwdriver and everything else that will slide in there ( ooh matron)! But no luck! ;-(

Give them a squirt of wd. They can be quite stiff to prise apart.

Helps if you twist the handle while pulling or levering. Lubricate the barbs once you have it off to make it easier next time.

Bloody things were so tight I bent my screwdriver ;-(

The design is stupid.  I can't see why they couldn't make them all like the drivers door card where there's a nice easy clip to remove off the back to get to the main big three screws,
