Hello folks,

 

58 plate 2.0PD, FSH, 125K

Glow plug light appears at start-up, then stays on constantly for rest of journey.

Intermittent though. Appeared 7 days ago, but not happened last 3 days.

Sometimes disappears after few switch off/re-start cycles.

 

Obviously need a fault code read, but figured worth asking here whilst find time for that !

I'm afraid the glowplug light on the Octavia MkII is used in combination with the EML (Engine Management Light) to signal any one of a number of potential issues.

 

As you've alluded to, priority number one is to get the fault codes read and report back.
