Or rather my apparent inability to stay away from them:

My missus has an extraordinary, almost extra-sensory, ability to find potholes, even the ones you can't see.

 

My particular skill appears to be finding the one bit, in an otherwise straight and unremarkable kerb, that sticks out  :wall:

 

Such a gut-wrenching noise  :doh:
