2011 RS estate boot question

Featured Replies

Afternoon all :) Just a wee question...which has the bigger boot, a 2011 A4 estate or an 2011 RS estate? A friend went to view both and said that the A4 boot was way bigger!!! I thought they were in about a few mm of each other!

Cheers

Kit

I could predict that RS have bigger boot.

Etc. my brother is driving an Audi A4 Avant MY 2005...and it is a funny (not to him as he is regretting this choice now) how small boot it have and on a back seatsfor passengers not enough needed space...

Compare to our vRS Hatchback...again smaller boot and interiour.

So ok...it is an Audi...quality and luxury that you can "feel" from the first minute sitting and driving...but...but that is all...A4 is not ideal for a family car at least fot those with small kids (even one or more...).

More strange is average consumption of fuel...his 2.0 TDI 140 HP is 'worse' then our vRS 2.0 TDI 170 HP...

If ever Audi...ok...but nothing 'smaller' then A6 Avant or Allroad

:D

Octavia boot is massively bigger.

Octavia - seats up 580l, seats down 1620l

A4 (B8) - seats up 490l, seats down 1430l

Strange, considering the Octy is on the same chassis as the A3!

I believe it has something to do with the way the engine is mounted in the different platforms.
