Octavia Tour de France 4x4 vehicle key

Featured Replies

Rather puzzled, I have owned an Octavia Tour de France 4x4 getting on for a month now and I still can not find a key hole anywhere on the car, yet there is a key in the fob! Silly but true, anyone solve this puzzle?

You can unlock the door with the key. It is possible to take off a plastic thing on the door knob that will reveal the key hole.

Very cunning, a small slot under the handle for the key to enter and prise the cover off, thanks Stianol

Just be careful taking it off too much, I had a Laguna years ago had the same feature and the key electronics broke (too expensive to bother with a fix) so had to regularly take the cap off, it became very easy to remove and if I had not scrapped the car would not have been long before our wondrous roads would have removed that protective cap.

At least with the Skoda the key hole is on the correct side of the car, the Renault was conveniently on the passenger side needing an annoying walk around the car every time to unlock it, I'm so glad I only had the car for 8months.

My previous car a Jeep Patriot also had the door key on the passenger side.  Thanks Astec123, it will stay where it is unless I get a problem

Our Laguna had a similar issue with one key. It was a bit of a pain until we discovered a guy online who'd fix the key for £15. Came back as new!
