Full size spare wheel for Octavia mk4
Same question from me too.Recently started a topic about this but it petered out. I think my VRS needs an 18 inch tyre to clear the brakes.I'm pretty sure VAG doesn't do an 18 inch steel wheel and when I asked Skoda Australia about buying an alloy wheel to suit they quoted me $1000.00 .Ouch! so I tried second hand (who cares what a spare looks like) but it looks like in this country most wheels are either scrapped or sold in fours. So I'm now trawling buy and sell sites.

Replace space saver
With space saver fitted tyre pressures on TMPS could not be reset. Error message came up and icon on dashboard started to flash.

Replace space saver
Space saver fits easily into wheel well. Road tyre diameter is 40mm more than space saver.Any wonder TPS goes crazy. So if I use the space saver with a different size to the other tyres (a sort of a gray area down here)I might as well use a spare tyre with a decent width. Not to mention one that had a lot more range than the 80 odd Kilometres of a space saver. Get stuck in the bush with one of those things and you are stuffed.

Replace space saver
Tried to fit 225 40 18 inch wheel in spare wheel well. Might fit if I deflate it but who wants to be inflating tyres as well as changing tyres.Snow definitely not a problem in most of Australia. Whoops I meant 225 40 19 inch wheel

Replace space saver
Hi Guys, Any of you replaced the space saver with a full size spare wheel ? If so what size tyre and wheel combination did you choose to fit in the spare wheel well ? I assume it would have to be 18 inches to clear my 2022 VRS brakes. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

Squeaky internal door handle
I assume you mean the door pull ? It bugged me, my previous Octavia and my wife's Fabia's door pull were (and are) rock solid with no squeaks.I even tried packing the hollow parts of the door pulls with foam. Made a little bit of difference. Then I tried teflon spray on all the touching surfaces.Much better. Not perfect, but I can live with it.

I don't believe there is not a demand for manual cars.
Hi all. Been driving various Euro manuals for fifty years (Renaults, Peugeots,Alfas, Skodas -even a Lancia) Loved them all. Then I needed a new estate.Guess what ? No manuals in Australia. I bought a Peugeot 508. Asin eight speed slushbox.Thought I would get used to it. No way, box was whiny and unintuitive. Steering was computer game light and feelless. Put up with it for two years and traded it in on a 2022 VRS. Bliss.I drive it exclusively in manual mode and with the DCC I can fine tune the suspension to just the way I like It. I would love a manual but down here car choices are limited.

Strange thing happened today
Once in a while my car has a hissy fit, not unlocking upon approach.Always opens when I touch the handle. I try spare keys (with new batteries) and and they're often erratic. Also I've noted if you approach car with keys held with phone (or something large or metallic) car probably won't unlock. Weird

Mirror problem.
Dipping sequence works now, but still no left-right adjustment. Not the end of the world,I'm the only driver. But annoying.

Mirror problem.
Yes, mirror seems to dip in reverse now, but doesn't return to upright position when moving forward, also mirror won't adjust in left right axis.

Mirror problem.
