The code for my rear disc brakes (1KF) is part of the list of my option codes on the sticker in the service book/wheel well but the same is not true for the front wheels.  There are several options it seems on an Octavia 2008 with BKD engine, 1ZC; 1ZF; 1ZE; 1ZM; 1LL; 1LP, and all are listed in various guises when searching out brake discs on Eurocarparts etc. Is there some tool that can definitively give this by entering the VIN for example.

 

I have tried searching the web to little avail, finding only tools which decode the three digit codes.

Ask your dealer for a Vehicle Data printout for your car. The one for my Octavia Ii lists almost 200 PR numbers.

Thanks.  I presume the sticker only has the optional as opposed to the standard equipment codes??
