Cabin fan removal

Featured Replies

Hi all, had a quick search but could only find posts relating to resistor pack failures (which as an aside I already had to replace earlier this year).

How easy is it to remove the cabin fan for a bit of reconditioning/replacement? Unfortunately on speed 1 or 2 the fan can be heard squeaking away which is rather frustrating!

Any guide or pictures would be hugely helpful!

Many thanks in advance, I'm hoping it isn't too involved such as taking the dash apart

Hi all,

Old topic but gold for me: I have the same problem.

My fan is squeaking and I can smell the plastic burning too!

Do I really have to take the the entire dash apart for replacing the fan?

Did you get it sorted ta

Dash out job to actually replace the fan.

Thanks found out that the springs that hold the brushes in fail.
