warranty

Hey guys.

Can anyone recommend a decent warranty policy/place for my 2010 fl vrs?

Thanks in advance

I took a 3 year policy with Warranty Wise in 2013 for my 2010 Octy Scout for approximately £840.

Warranty Direct quoted £1200+ then reduced it to just under £800 when I told them I got a cheaper quote from WW. Even though slightly dearer I stuck with WW as they didn't try and rip me off of £400!

Not sure if you qualify, but some people on here use a warranty scheme operated by the Civil Service - it's something like CSSA. I only found out about that after I had taken out the Warranty Wise policy otherwise I would have subscribed to that.

Auto Express did a review of after market warranties a while back si you could do a search on their website.

Will do thanks for that

I opted for the Skoda Approved Extended Warranty and Breakdown (Car Care Plan). That has already covered the recovery of my Octavia II from Yorkshire to Cambridgeshire and the subsequent replacement of the complete rear transmission, and more recently the replacement of front wheel bearing. All the warranty work was FOC and I still have over 16K of cover left. I would strongly recommend that cover.

Just renewed my Skoda warranty and breakdown for £350.

Put the money you plan to spend on an aftermarket warranty into a savings account each month.

If you need it then it is there, if you don't then the money is still yours.

Remember warranty is an insurance. You are paying for peace of mind.

Personally I like to live life on the edge but can sleep at night knowing the money is building up in my account and not paying for the warranty company's Christmas party! :D

That wouldn't have worked for me. :(
