When turning octty vRS hatch on idle , there's a noticeable loud knock when moving steering a little to left or right.

Got a similar sound on my Octavia and I can confirm on mine there is play in the rack

Same symptoms as you so im guessing you have got play in the rack also

You not had it changed? Expensive job iv read

Na mate mines been doing it since I bought the car every mechanic iv took it to said just leave it as it's only slight play, does sound loud in the cabin.

I was told if I start loosing fluid then to get it changed I know the cheapest new rack from ecp is £195 and fitting would cost a bit aswell
