Ultra-Hids of Bradford.

Featured Replies

Anyone used the company in the title? Got a set bought as a xmas pressie from Londoncolour but just don't trust myself attempting the fitting! Spoke to the guy on the phone yesterday & asked if they would fit them, being as they were not their hid's. Must say, he was really friendly & just asked details of car, then said 'no problem, name your best day, time etc. Quoted £40 which seems very reasonable.

Save £40 and search fitting hids plenty of good threads with walk throughs and links to videos throughout the forum, fitted mine today took half an hour [emoji106]

Theyre easy to fit.

But if you really arent a hands on kinda guy and would prefer to pay for peace of mind and potentially less stress, i dont think £40 is a bad price

Thanks for reply Mrj, fully aware of all the threads + videos, & all the accompanied skinned knuckles, trapped fingers & effing & jeffing fumbling betwixt lamp & diesel filter, but no thanks!!!

Btw....you're welcome to come & do the job seeing as you're just down the road lol.

Otaylor38, nail on the head thing mate! It IS for peace of mind & most definitely the mega stress lol.

I feel a bit of what goes around comes around feeling here, fitted my hids and now one of them doesn't work faulty ballast plus a faulty tradesman that sold them to me lost £40 in the process maybe I should fit yours to get some cash back I lost on some cheap s****y hids lol

My Londoncolour HID's may be cheap, but they have functioned for over 4 years, and provide beautiful light.

What have they done wrong?

The mechanical installation take 5 mins each, and the VCDS even less.

I wish I had have bought London colour ones the ones I got was cheap from a dodgy guy selling them on gumtree

Mr j, i'll look out for the 'one-eyed' fabia vrs around town then lol. Fitting scheduled for 2pm today, can't wait! Will do a short drive (probably the length of M1) lol, & post my opinion tonight.

Got the hid's fitted today Mr j, just given them a trial on some nice dark roads & I just cannot believe the difference! To quote someone on an earlier thread "night is day"!!!! Whilst getting them fitted I asked the guy to put matching led's in the side-lights, he put the best match he could find for the 4300k burners in but they are a tad 'bluer' , but I can live with that.

Cost 50 quid with extra bulbs, but what I liked most, was as I was leaving, the guy said to me "any problems of any kind, just pop back & we'll sort it". Can't beat that!

Btw company name in title is only his Ebay shop, in case you need to know his place in Bradford is called Xenon Bulbs Ltd. BD7 1HT. May just go out for another spin now (think i'll wear me sunglasses) pmsl.
