Near side Mirror housing broken

Featured Replies

My wife did a job on the near side mirror - clipped it - when I looked last night the motorised part had snapped completely - the housing and actual mirror motor and glass all intact.

Luckily with the design I was able to zip tie it down for now without issue.

Phoning local Skoda dealer they quoted me £192.23 for just the housing - no cover and glass (which is all still fine on the broken one I have).

He would not give out a part number! Anyway with this pricing I found it here - http://www.skodaparts.com/product/superb-mirror-housing-left-2008-2013-50518

The Part number is: 3T2857507BH

Thus Skoda parts were offering a discount at £163.39.

Googled it and came up cheaper on Ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-SKODA-SUPERB-MK2-N-S-F-LEFT-HAND-FRONT-ELECTRIC-WING-MIRROR-3T2857507BH-/331002153844

On there for £150.79 - ended up buying from ebay as Skodaparts has delivery on top of there price.

Done and dusted - expensive mistake from the missus!! Grief.

Anyway good to know the parts number for anyone's reference.

Best
