Still loving my O3 2.0 elegance DSG and after nearly 17 months and 15000 miles it still doesn't need a service apparently. What's the maximum time/distance before it needs to go for its first check-up?

Max 24 months or 18,600 miles (30k KM) on variable.

Does the new Octavia not count down the number of days / miles until the next service?

 

You used to be able to go into the onboard computer and select 'Vehicle Status'. Here it would tell you when the next service is due...
