Byebye Octy, hello Furby

Featured Replies

Took a loooooong drive down to Mid Cornwall Cars (top marks to them  ) on saturday to part-ex my Octy 2 for a rather nice black magic Furby vrs. I was perfectly happy with the Octy until this sodding website persuaded me to test drive the fabia and needed something faster :o

Fabia vRS = :D

Even better than the demo car i test drove and I only took it over 3500rpm once accidentily - should be even better after a few thousand miles :D

DM,

Does that mean you are leaving the site before it convinces you to change your car again for the Octy 2 vRS ;):)

Congrats mate, I'm sure you'll settle in with the Furby very quickly, as long as you won't miss the boot space of the Octy :)

Interesting change anyway, not sure I've heard of anyone on here going from Octy II to Fabia?

Steve

Congrats DM.

I dont have an issue with the boot space, that wasn't a consideration when buying the octy anyway. I never needed such a big car, but I was impressed when I went for a test drive and I'd never heard of the Fabia vRS (though I had heard of the Octy vRS and ruled it out due to scary insurance quotes). The Octy 2 is a lovely car, and the 1.6MPI is a decent little engine (well, I thought so anyway) but I'm young restless and wanted a change to something faster :o

Briskoda wont convince me to change to the Octy2 vRS as I've already ruled it out - It has already persuaded me to make a few subtle changes to the interior and under the bonnet though... I got my green cotten filter a week before getting the car to put it in!

A few people from off here live around there it seems, or certainly use them as their dealers! :)

Hello and welcome to Fabiaworld!

Octy's are nowhere as much fun as Fabias, it's official!

The filter is in, just need the pikey mods now and you'll be unstoppable in the twisties!
