warranty

Featured Replies

Just a quick one has my warranty ran out, i bought my octavia vrs last march, it is a 62 plate i am the second owner. All it is my boot door is making a knocking noise when going over bumps, well i think its my boot door ive looked all over where the spare wheel goes and everything looks fine. Thanks john.

Id ring the dealer and ask if i was you, then go from there

Before going to see them or ask,

maybe best remove the spare wheel, tools and anything else and be sure it is the car making the noise.

Im also finding water at the bottom of the boot under neath where the spare tyre goes any ideas.

Just asked bumps and noises have only got 6 months warranty.

A 6month warranty from new?

I reckon not.

'They' say lots, They need to show people in Writing.

Here it tells you what Skoda say is only 6 months /6,500 miles.

But then you need to see what or why there is a noise. So finding that first then lets you know if there is a manufacturing fault or materials.

If the boot door needs adjustment you might need to arrange doing that yourself, that might need money changing hands.

Thanks for the replys, i phoned them back up today and my cars booked in for monday, she told me it wont cost me a penny because it's under warranty.Dont no why the other women said that must be that time of the month or something.Cheers john.

Water in the spare wheel well on the Octavia is not uncommon.

The pipe work that feeds the rear wash wipe is quite weak and is prone to failing. The water then drains into the boot.

Thanks mate ill bring it up with them, when it goes in on Monday .

Also leaks through the boot seal sometimes through the rear wiper motor body and sometimes through the rubber grommet that house's motor spindle .
