HPI Check Results

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've just purchased 3 HPI checks from hpicheck.com.  I ran it on the car I'm hoping to purchase this weekend, and only had one alert, as follows:

Alert!
  • Interest registered against a previous plate

Alert Details
Plate Transfer
  • The current plate was transferred to this vehicle on 18/01/2012

  • J3*** was applied to this vehicle on 01/07/2010

    • This VRM has been recorded as having an outstanding finance agreement
    • An outstanding finance agreement was recorded on 29/08/2014 against a OCTAVIA DIESEL HATCHBACK
  • NA***** was applied to this vehicle on 31/10/2009

    • There are no interests recorded against NA*****

I've highlighted the stuff in red.  Presumable the plate was once on another skoda which had finance, and this alert has followed across onto this car when the plate was assigned to it.  The current plate is the standard plate.

Thanks!

If the current plate is clean all should be well!

The cherished reg. was most likely transferred to another vehicle which now has finance on it so it will show up like this.

I think the first owner bought it on fianance, then fitted a private plate.  He then sold the car and fitted the private plate to his octavia diesel with more finance.  So because this car has had that plate, it is seeing the finance alert of the other car.
