Having clocked up a fair 70k in the Leon in the last couple of years I've been looking into changing my car. I am coming up to finishing a fair sized loan that was taken out when I seperated from my ex wife to pay for the divorce, sell the house and settle some debts. Having a fairly short VAG (naturally) list of cars I fancy I am fairly certain I will be going with a Fabia II 1.6 CR. I have a hankering for a Scout if I'm honest, I normally go for something a little different and they would seem to be in my budget on a 2010 model.

Go for a twincharger! With your skill base you'd be sure to find a problem free one.

I am obviously being very selfish here and would love to have you owning the MK2 vRS with all the forthcoming insights and hopefully mods

I've already had a twin charger owning a Bocanegra when they first came out. I'm still going to be doing 35k a year so it's gonna have to be a diesel.

I've liked the Scout ever since we had one on demo at Startins. I used to borrow it whenever I could.

Cant argue with that mate.

Cruising around in a standard comfy fabia SE myself at 22. My mates think i need a flat cap, but im happy. Its comfy.

I'm really impressed with the 1.6tdi seems very pokey for what it is, deffo a good buy

And now for the staple question, was yours using oil?

Regardless of the answer to the above, what do you think is causing problems in twinchargers?

In the 20k I had my Boca it used maybe a litre of oil.

I may look into getting an Amundsen Plus head unit, that's about it.

Yep, it has an integrated BT module.

I missed out on that RNS315. There are a fews RNS310s about though, I wonder if i'll miss the bluetooth connectivity? Hmmm.

There are some Android based head units around, good prices for the functionality they offer

The chap who was selling that one listed has another Amundsen + with bluetooth for £380, very tempted.

 

Currently selling a mint BOSE wave stereo with iPod dock on e-bay, if that goes for good money I think i'll treat myself (again).

I see Nothing wrong with treating yourself. 

I've been doing it recently but unfortunately went a tad too far and SWMBO took an exception and I am in trouble now lol

 

As for the head units Erisin ones look very OEM and plenty of people like them.
