Dipped beam + sidelight bulb change 2008 Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi,

Has anybody had previous experience with changing bulbs on this fabia? My nearside dipped and sidelight bulbs blew I can't seem to find any decent guides, and as far as I can tell it's going to be difficult. As well as this, does anybody know if whether the dipped and main beams are one bulb or two, I'm assuming two as they're H7, but the light seems to be coming from the same area?

The only guide I can find is this:

http://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk2/vehicle_electrics/electrical_system/lights_lamps_switches_outside/headlights_halogen_headlights/replacing_light_bulbs_in_the_headlight_up_to_my_2010/replacing_quot;h7quot;_bulb_for_low_beam_and_main_beam/

but from what I can tell there may be things in the way to do the change smoothly?

Hi, opinions are divided as some cars have different light units, depending on model/production year, etc. Some are tricky to reach, some are easy and some have single H7's, some have twins. Single bulbers tend to have a shield that raises/lowers, changing the beam to high/dipped.

The tricky to reach bulbs come out with a pull but are hard to get your fingers to. i found a small hook and pick set off ebay did the job but take care not to yank the wires off or even cut them!

Haha yeah, I guess I'll just have to find out first hand, will defo bear in mind that i need to be very careful with wires.

Thanks
