After 11 years on the Mk1 forum it's time to move on

Featured Replies

As the title says, after eleven years of being on the Mk1 forum it's time to move on as my Mk1 Octy VRs is now for sale (see the classifieds).

Reason being is that I have a back injury that's never going to get better, so I have to sell my rally car and the Octavia  :'( .

I'm now going to buy something a little more comfortable and with heated seats (because they feel sooo good on my back), I should get a car with a DSG gearbox as I wouldn't need to use the clutch, but I'm a petrol head and a manual box it will be.

Oh what am I going to buy I hear you cry?

Just ordered a brand new (15 plate) Mk3 Octavia VRS in race blue along with a few goodies, including heated seats  .

Well it seemed only fair as I have to sell the rally car, I've still got to have a car that will put a smile on my face.

Oh and I've already bought a number plate from the DVLA wesite, BR15KVR, or if it's spaced correctly (not that I would alter a No plate as that's illegal  ) and a small adhesive s outside the black border line then [bR15K.VR]s  .

Fair play mate, shame you're not changing car under better circumstances but sounds like a good plan nonetheless. Heated seats eh? Nice. Seen your ad too, lovely car shame I'm not in the market for one (ssh don't tell yellow car I looked at another).

She'll be a cracking buy for someone.

My wife always calls her and the rally car my mistresses because of the amount of time and care I lavish on them!

She's just been driven away  :'(

A fellow forum user has just bought her.

Sad day, I'll have to go and look at a few Race blue Mk3's to cheer myself up
