Time to replace?

Featured Replies

Soo.

My 05 2.0 FSI has come back from its service.. with a few advisory's and i am wondering due to its age and potential long term expenditures due on it.

Cambelt is due in 2 years... £350+ service costs

Rad leaking (been ignoring this as its a known issue and i keep her topped up with water)

NSF CV boot perished

front wishbones perished

lower dogbone mount split

rear control blade bushed perished

rear lower arm bushes deterioriated

slight oil leak from sump

cam chain rattle, and cam timing fault

(retardation issue on the valve timing adjustment, been on there since i've had it)

fuel pressure metering issue, N290 short to ground.

So, ballpark £200 each end for bushes, 400 for the cam chain, RAD 2-300 i think i was quoted a while back as its a "take the whole front end off job"

Umm, opinions? sell before the MOT in july and put the 2k or so i hopefully will walk away from it towards a TSI with no cambelt overheads?
