So why not find out a bit more about it by asking questions before a long drive to view etc here's my message and his reply

Don't waste my time and if you have a real interest make an appointment to test drive, at least read the add before you ask me questions

In all fairness to the guy, nearly every one of your questions are answered in the seller's description, he might sound rude but he has got a point.

And when the tax runs out is irrelevant mate.

It doesnt get carried over to the owner anyway

Even if it doesn't it's only £20, you can spend that on a takeaway!!!

He says he will MOT it and get any recalls sorted when it's in, he tells you why he's selling, the only thing he doesn't say is whether it pulls to the left but he's hardly going to say 'yes it does', not every Monte was affected anyway.

No I know your not I appreciate hearing other peoples view he said if there were advisorys he would get them sorted not recalls

There's never been any recalls for the Monte, it's well documented on here that VAG don't do recalls anyway. Mine's had all the tyres swapped for Pirellis as it started pulling, it's better but not 100%, think it's a set up issue from the factory.

If there are Service Campaign items like Heated Seat Elements,  Wiring Looms or what ever you get on some Skodas,

it does not matter who owns the car, you get Skoda UK to pay to do it.

You check with Skoda UK or a Dealer and the work needs doing.

 

If there were 'Recalls' which there is not, but if there was,

then a 'Recall' is the car called in for Safety Matters.

Thank you it's just me being over cautious and checking before I buy I don't do many miles but the £20 tax helps me think from time to time give the car a blast for the dpf

What do people think of the car good price and any thoughts

3 kerbed wheels is no big deal,

 but it does need to drive right, and have no damage done with the kerbing obviously.

 

40,000 miles might be a Major Service, 

Pollen Filter, Oil & Filters, & at 3 years Brake Fluid Changed,

so budget for what needs doing if you are getting it done at a Dealers or Independent.

I think the ebay character probably thought you meant advisories when you queried the recall situation - just remember not everyone is a forum savvy owner

 

Having sold a car on ebay once (never again) it is full of cocksockets that seem to have the goal of wasting time and asking questions already covered in the advert. No excuse for his reply mind

Thank you that's very helpful these are the questions I have asked in that email I sent him but he obviously didn't reply I can see that there are a few questions I didn't need to ask however the seller has put more description in sellers notes rather than the item description.

Why not ask him some more questions to really stick the boot in...
