Seat heating up

Featured Replies

Hi there

I've noticed that when I have the Aircon (I live in Australia) on in my 2012 Octavia VRS that the drivers seat heats up....

At first I thought it was in my head because I haven't had the car long but it appears not. Anyone else had this issue? Could there be an electrical issue ? Or is the compressor near the drivers seat ?

Any help or feedback would be appreciated.

Regards

J

I suspect not in Australia but did you add the heated seats option on the order form?

I do know that during the summer months when the car interior is icy cold that the warmth from my body against the seat fabric can recreate the feeling of heated seats!

If you have heated seats fitted, could it be that as you adjust the temperature, you are also inadvertently activating the Heated seats as it is on the same controller?

Hi guys...

Thanks for the replies.....

The heated seat feature comes standard on the VRS in Australia.

I thought it might be body heat as well but the side of the seat is hot as well as the console box between the front seats.

I thought I may have been switching the heated seats on by accident as well....but when you turn them on it lights up 1,2,3 bars and that's not lit up.....

I'm going to get my mechanic to check it out but thought I'd ask in case someone else had a similar problem.

Thanks for the replies, fellas.

Cheers

J
