Reset service interval display - octavia iii

Featured Replies

Anyone know exactly how to do this without visiting garage on Octavia iii with Bolero entertainment unit? Have held down trip reset button and it cycles through clock to service on dash display, but then does nothing other than report if/when due. How is this reset? Ta

Not sure if there is a way without using a vcds cable or visiting a stealer. Maybe worth searching for someone nearby with vcds who can assist

Ignition off and wait for 20 seconds or hold down trip reset button turn ignition on 1st display is oil change keep hold of it second display is inspection service depending on the one you want let go of the button and then press it again

This worked, but I accidentally reset interval service as well as the oil. I assume what it says about needing 'specialist' to do this or performance may suffer (in the manual) is nonsense? As long as every 2 years or 18k miles it's good to go?

Your car has probably come from the dealer set to 1 year/15k km /10k miles servicing regime. You can tell because it will now advise of an oil change in 15k km/9.3k miles and an inspection 15k km/9.3k miles later.

If you want it changed pop it to your dealer and say you want long life servicing, they'll update the coding on the car then it wont bother you again until its needed.

VCDS/VCP can no doubt do it too if you can find someone local and offer a few beer tokens
