How many Skoda dealerships have had the axe taken to them since VW took over and why is the concept of providing a half decent service to Skoda owners who bought their cars from closed franchises alien to the remaining franchisees and Skoda?

All the dealers have had to conform to VW standards, those that wont have been closed down. Basically move to a nice purpose built showroom that costs mega bucks to lease. Thats why so many have closed, my local dealer was downgraded to authorsised repairer although you can go and buy a brand new skoda there if you want, they just source the cars elsewhere.
