i am looking to replace original radio /cassette on fabia 1

i am looking for a suitable replacement, radio/cd player with appropriate wiring connectors, fascia trim etc

i just need a good basic setup

would welcome anyones advice

you have a massive amount of choice out there in terms of headunits. Mainly depends on budget and your needs.

 

As for the cables etc a mk1 fabia owner will be better situated to answer but i think they dont have canbus so its just a matter of the correct iso cables and adapters to fit the headunit.

I'm looking at replacing the standard 402 head unit, but am running into problems with wiring.

Have tried 3 different working hu's. Different brands, but none will turn on.

Have tried the switched feed and permanent feed wires.

The stereos all make a sound like they are powering up as soon as the harness is connected, but then refuse to turn on at all.

This is driving me nuts. as the factory fitted hu is on its last legs and keeps cutting out randomly.

Anyone got any ideas or had a similar problem?
