Evening all. Relatively new to this section of the forum after getting rid of my octy wrc for a black edition estate 1.2tsi (105).

I've only had the car since Xmas and so far it's ok apart from losing over 100bhp from the octy and the poor mpg.

Now I know the car only has 1400 miles on it so the engine is still effectively in the run in period but I've found that the mpg just won't get above 38mpg according to the trip computer and my rough fill up calculations and that's even when driving like miss daisy

My dealer recons that it is still quite early days and I should see better gains when it gets over 3000 ish miles which is fair enough because I did find this with the citigo black edition I got a couple months earlier. But he's getting it in next week to check it over and do some coding for me.

What sort of mpg are the rest of you getting?

I get 40mpg around the doors, got a 16mile round trip for work so no great mileage. 45mpg on a run but when the weather's cold the mpg will suffer as short trips means the oil won't get up to temp quickly.

I get 55mpg when taking it easy on a 15mile trip to work, sticking to around 50mph. I managed 500 miles from a full tank of 97ron texaco. Usually I get 400 miles from a tank.

My cars a late registered 63 plate 1.2 105 tsi, 12.5k on the clocks. Revo stage 1
