I am wanting to order discs and pads for my 2008 fabia estate,I thought this would be straight forward however there are 2 sizes available 256 and 288mm.

My car has a Disc/Drum set up.

My friend will fit these as he owns a workshop if I provide the parts.

Has anyone else replaced their discs on this model if so what size were the discs?

My friends workshop isn't local so need to get discs right 1st time.

Have you 'searched by reg number' on ECP or the like?

I would have thought that the standard size was 288mm as a common performance upgrade is to 312mm discs.

To me 256mm sound like rear discs.

To be sure which size is on your car best take a front wheel off and measure the disc before you buy the replacements.

When I enter my Reg it comes up with 256 or 288 fronts and 239 rears which is odd since my car has drums at the rear maybe different specs for different countries.I could mess about taking wheel off as a last resort.I just thought someone else on here with same model as mine may have known.

I would have thought they are 256. I'm basing this on the Octavia as the 1.9 gets 256 then with DSG gearbox it gets 288.
