Cappuccino Beige Yeti L&K

Featured Replies

I wanted to order a new Yeti L&K in Muscovado, thought it looked the nicest colour, but was told I would have to wait 12 weeks during which time the value of my part exchange vehicle would get less. I was told I could have a Cappuccino Yeti L&K in 3 weeks as there is one at the docks. I decided to order that one even though I wasn't sure I liked the colour, there wasn't a vehicle in Cappuccino in the Showroom! I thought Beige might go well with the brown Leather seats. However, yesterday I was shopping and saw a car in the Supermarket Car Park and I thought I hope my car isn't that colour and of course it was a Cappuccino Skoda! I am thinking that I have made the wrong choice. Any thoughts from owners of Yeti L&K in Cappuccino, are you happy with the colour? JanetR

I've just ordered a Cappuccino 1.2 TSI Elegance DSG... wife and I decided it was the best colour since they discontinued the Steel Grey that my present Yeti is.  We think its really elegant,  and I'm sure the L&K brown leather will go well with it:  we've ordered Gobi Sand Alcantara in ours,  and we've got to wait till the end of April to get it.... sigh!

I can't speak for Cappuccino L&Ks but certainly the mighty Tibetan (Terracotta) Bronze variety changes its appearance a lot depending on the ambient light and how dirty it is! So, it might be worth hunting down another one to look at having a trawl on the Yeti pictures thread here for other Cappuccinos:

That said, if you really don't like the colour (and colour is a very subjective thing) then speak to the dealer and say no, it's a Muscovado L&K with an agreed, guaranteed value for the part ex or the deal is off. Try visiting or ringing other dealers and see what they have to offer. No doubt the dealer you spoke to thought they could move the Cappuccino one easily to you (could be a cancelled order) and get their money quicker rather than selling the customer what they want.

There are probably four Skoda sealers closer to me than Allams at Epsom but I choose to go there (for buying all three Yetis - sales and after service) because of the excellent deals and total customer based focus and where I'm treated as a friend and count them as my friends - well worth the extra miles travel.

Totally agree with Aerofurb. It's your money and whilst I quite liked the Cappuchino if you have serious reservations then you really must ask yourself whether saving 9 weeks and perhaps a few hundred pounds is genuinely that important when you are buying a car the painful side of £20k. I wouldn't get too hung up on what the trade in value of your car is. The first dealer I went to wouldn't discount the new car at all and offered rock bottom trade in and said it would probably be less because of the delivery time. The dealer I bought from was prepared to negotiate on price, gave me an estimate of the likely value at trade in based on the expected delivery date ( and a price better than the first dealer) but on collection actually allowed a few hundred more than that estimate - perhaps I didn't negotiate as well as I thought I had on the purchase price :)

If you compromise on what you really want at this stage chances are you will have that little tinge of disappointment when you take delivery. Definitely try and have another look or two at Cappachino but if you still have doubts.......

I did like my pre FL cappuccino - was a nice light colour which hid dirt incredibly well (good for me as it can go reasonably long periods without washing).

As the posters above have said though, it's your money so don't be pushed in to accepting something you aren't 100% on.

Back in the day the wait for my Yeti (Muscovado) was 6 months, and some waited a lot longer. My Octavia part-ex dropped £200 in that time, but I was settled on the options & colour. It's still my favourite of the current colours, though the Jungle Green and Bronze are close. You'll be looking at it for some time, so go with your preference for the sake of a slight drop in part-ex value.
