nothing comes up for obvious topics like fuel flap or petrol cap/flap

or gas door

The cable has come out. Pull back the carpet on the o/s of the boot and clip it back in.

i'll fix it tomoro cheers

This happened on mine. Went round to the dealer and he simply came out and stuck his finger in where the catch is on the fuel filler cap, pullled it slightly, and it has worked ever since.

Same happened to my 2004 vRS. Local dealer said "Pretty common problem, the clip has come off the cable. The Czech's malke great cars but crap clips, so we'll fit a new British one". Took 10 minutes, FOC under warranty.

That is a classic, I will have to remember that one.
