Temp Gauge Issue

Featured Replies

Hi all, driving down to cornwall today on the motorway i notice the temp gauge dropping about a fifth below 90 then back up to 90? What would cause this??

Thermostat is my guess mate mines doing it also

Thermostat possibly - are you still getting hot air from the heaters?

It's more likely the coolant temp sensor, they are about £15 to buy and fairly easy to replace. Just make sure you get OEM/Genuine.

I bet thermostat is OK... first sign of dead thermostat is uneven and not HOT air from heating system.

Depends on your interpretation of fairly, but when I used the word I was implying on a garage carrying out the work meaning it shouldn't be any more than 30mins labour.

However after your help on my previous post I am able to locate my temp sensor myself and hopefully replace to which I am grateful.
